God, you are where we want to be.  You let us live and then return us to the dust from where you created us.  You know all of our sins.  You bring to light the darkest of our secrets.  Please give us favor.

God chose David to be the king of his people. He made a covenant with him. He would go before him in battle and take care of him. God would love David and his family. When David dies and passes his kingdom to his son god will continue in his promise to keep David's line as the kings over his people. Even when his sons do not follow God's law God will still love and keep his promise to David.  He does this through Jesus who is son of God and son of David and is the king over all his people.

You are the God who saves me.  I have felt that I am in my darkest of days.  I am separated and alone.  I am weighed down by burdens.   I need you.
